Guiding

All tours are rustic with 80%+ being on dirt roads. All participants should be able and prepared to camp. All routes are moderate to good Forest Service roads. Rugged side trips can be taken if everyone in the group desires and is deemed to have the skill for such trails. Custom tours are available for those who want less dirt and a hotel each night. If you have a group and an area you want to ride, we are very happy to design a tour to maximize your experience. Some meals will be at camp and some at lodges and cafes we pass along the way. If riding your own bike a fuel range of 200 miles minimum is recommended.

Training

We offer one on one and group training tailored to the individual needs of the rider. We also offer a skills drill each morning of our tours for those who choose to join in. Call for pricing on private and group training and tours.

  1. Lance- great start to new website. Looking forward to seeing more and eventually riding with you out there.
    All the best.
    Bill

  2. Do you have any bike offerings for shorter riders? As a advanced female DS rider, I really want in on more off-touring opportunities outside my area but very rarely are rentals offered with reasonable seat heights for those of us with a sub-30″ inseam. Looking forward to your reply!

    1. Good morning Victoria. Yes we have one lowered KLR 650 with a lowered custom seat. I have have ladies as short as 5’2 who have used this bike.

  3. Lance,
Thanks for renting us the BMW. We had a blast and couldn’t have been happier. Idaho is spectacular. It is so different from Georgia and I hope we get to go back and explore some more!.

    1. Thanks guys! Glad you had a great time. We really enjoy it when people appreciate the beauty of our state. We looks forward to see you two again.

  4. Lance,
Thank you so much for all of your help with setting me up with a great bike to take on the BDR! I was bummed that my GSA broke down on the way over from California, but was more than pleased with the bike I rented from you. It was set up perfectly!

I also wanted to thank you for helping our group with up to date info regarding the fires that prevented us from getting to Pine from Jarbridge, that saved us a lot of time!

Finally, I appreciate your assistance with getting me to the Airport at the last minute! Your Dad was my guardian angel! I would have missed my flight if he hadn’t been so kind to help me out.

We look forward to returning next year as some of our group could not make it this summer. I’m sure that some of us will prefer to fly in and rent rather than ride four extra days to get to Idaho and return home.

    See you next summer!

    1. Alway happy to help Rich! Really looking forward to seeing you next summer! We have a lot of great country to ride here in Idaho so I hope to see you a few more times over the years!

    1. Hello David, we do tours on public roadways both dirt and pavement in

Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and Washington mostly. What are you looking to do?

  5. Hello, I’m interested in knowing if you’d rent a dual sport bike for 2 to 3 days for one person…..my friend and I want to ride the Magruder Corridor. We would be starting in Spokane, Coeur d’alene, or wherever convenient to pick up the bike. We would ride from Elk City Idaho to Darby Montana over the “trail”. We plan to take our time and camp along the way. My friend would be riding his own bike but I am without a dual sport bike at this time. I am 54 years old, licensed, and well experienced.

    1. Hello John, Yes we would love to rent you a bike. You would need to pick the bike up in Boise however. I do occasionally deliver bikes to northern Idaho, but the charge is enough that it usually requires 4 or more guys sharing the cost to make in equitable for them. Thanks, Lance

  6. Hi Lance,
We have a mutual friend that asked me to contact you to see if you are in the market for a BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki or KTM for your business.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you your plans and needs for 2017.
We are a dealer in Eastern Washington.
I look forward to hearing from you.
BTW, your voice message box was full.

    1. Hello Dale, I am considering selling my 1190R and getting a 1290R, but other than that I am pretty set for 2017. Who is our mutual friend? Call anytime. I cleared the inbox. Thanks!

  7. Hey Lance. My brother is interested. He owns a motorcycle so could he join a tour? Your old hair client Carolyn

    1. Hey Carolyn, not sure how this message got through the gap. Have your brother call me if he has not already. 208-921-6845. I hope you are doing great! Lance

  8. Hello! I am interested in renting a bike for September. We haven’t yet decided on the dates. I owned a 2002 R1150RT and I am licensed and still ride. I’m interested in the 2002 K1200RS, but didn’t see a price on it. That is my question. How much to rent the RS and is it available in September? Thank you!

    1. Hello Paul, all of our tours are over for 2017. I will be putting together a calendar for 2018 by the end of March. Thanks, Lance
